Tijs Michiel Verwest (17 de enero de 1969, Breda, Países Bajos)1 conocido como Tiësto, es un músico holandés, mezclador, productor de música trance y house progressive. A pesar de que ha utilizado muchos alias en el pasado, es más conocido por su trabajo como DJ Tiësto. En su más reciente producción, sin embargo, ha quitado "DJ" de las etiquetas y es ahora conocido simplemente como "Tiësto" un alias que es un giro de su apodo de la infancia.

El significado de "Tiësto"

En el documental 'Another day at the office' donde cuenta su inicio en la música, Tijs, explica que 'Tiësto' es un apodo a su nombre. Es un apelativo de la jerga italiana de su nombre en alemán, sus amigos siempre lo solían llamar 'Tiest' entonces el quiso que sonara mas italiano poniéndole 'Tiësto'

2011: Club Life Volume One Las Vegas y Otros

El 6 de marzo Tiësto habla de un próximo álbum que sera lanzado para el año 2012 con una proyección similar a Kaleidoscope.

El 5 de abril Tiësto lanza en todo el mundo su nuevo disco compilatorio "Club Life: Volume One Las Vegas"

Tiësto tiene planes de seguir en la linea de Kaleidoscope , este proyecto se trata de canciones con artistas que tenga una buena voz

Tiësto va a colaborar en un EP con Britney Spears todavía se desconoce el nombre.
